CriticalConnection Health Information Exchange (HIE)

Community-Accessible Medical Information Repository and eConnectivity Between Patients and Medical Providers.

CriticalConnection maintains and shares patient records electronically among physicians, laboratories, hospitals and other providers in order to lower healthcare costs and improve quality of care. The CriticalConnection Health Information Exchange creates a network that tracks a patient’s care, allowing primary care providers to collaborate with specialists. With more complete patient information, providers improve their ability to make well-informed treatment decisions quickly and safely.

The Department of Health and Human Services estimates that a lack of electronic connectivity among caregivers costs the United States $140 billion annually, nearly 10% of U.S. health spending. CriticalConnection can help you lower healthcare costs and overall patient spend.
